Ludlow Station is a community-focused intervention that seeks to reconcile a tragic labor history with a gaze toward a sustainable future. Rather than a traditional memorial, the design functions as a functional hub built from a symbolic material palette.

By synthesizing reclaimed industrial steel with vernacular mud walls and canvas, the structure reflects the resilience of the local community. The "esoteric" quality of the design is a deliberate nod to the complex, layered history of the Colorado coal fields, providing a space that is both protective and forward-looking.
